Triumph unveils their second tribute to "Slippery Sam" with the Trident 660

Triumph Motorcycles has once again honored its racing heritage with the release of the 2025 Trident 660 Triple Tribute Edition. This limited-edition model pays homage to the legendary “Slippery Sam” Trident — a motorcycle that dominated the Isle of Man TT races with five consecutive wins in the 1970s.

A Modern Nod to a Racing Legend

The 2025 Triple Tribute Edition brings bold visual flair with a sapphire black base color, accented by Cobalt Blue and Diablo Red graphics. The signature “67” number on the tank echoes the original race machine’s aesthetic.

Other exclusive design touches include:

  • Color-matched flyscreen

  • Sculpted aluminum belly pan

  • Diablo Red wheels

These elements combine to give the Trident a vintage soul wrapped in a thoroughly modern shell.

Modern Tech Meets Classic Inspiration

The Triple Tribute Edition isn’t just about looks — it comes packed with modern features designed for rider enjoyment and safety:

  • Sport riding mode for sharper throttle response

  • Optimized cornering ABS and traction control

  • Triumph Shift Assist for clutchless up/down gear changes

  • Cruise control for long-distance comfort

Powering this tribute machine is a 660cc triple engine delivering 80 hp at 10,250 rpm and 47 ft-lbs of torque at 6,250 rpm — offering smooth, responsive power throughout the rev range.
